Usage disclaimer

Equations discovered by Occam are statistical fits to user-supplied data. They may be physically meaningless, overfit, or sensitive to noise. Users are responsible for validating any discovered relationship against domain knowledge before use in decision-making, engineering, or scientific publication.

Privacy

When you submit data to Occam, it is processed in memory and used solely to compute your results. Your data is not written to disk, not stored in a database, and not retained after the request completes. There is no training on user-submitted data. Once Occam returns your equations, your input data no longer exists anywhere on the server.

Results are yours. You may use the equations Occam returns for any purpose, including commercial use and publication. If you publish results obtained with Occam, we encourage you to cite the underlying methods — see How to cite.

Data retention

Occam logs request metadata for operational monitoring: timestamp, your IP address, which tool was called, the dimensions of your dataset (row and column counts), elapsed computation time, and whether the request succeeded or failed. No submitted data values are logged. Logs are retained for 90 days and then deleted.

Payment data

Crypto (x402): When you pay via on-chain USDC, Occam stores transaction hashes in a local database solely for replay prevention. Transaction hashes are automatically deleted after approximately 200 seconds. No wallet addresses, balances, or other on-chain data are stored beyond the transaction hash.

Card (MPP / Stripe): Card payments are processed by Stripe. Occam never receives or stores card numbers. The only payment reference retained is the Stripe PaymentIntent ID, logged alongside the request metadata described above.
